Cycle The Lakes
We are very excited to reintroduce Cycle the Lakes which is a house favourite.Â
This is a beautiful cycle around Blessington Lakes in County Wicklow. You can select from 3 routes, a 25km which is easy for all family members to enjoy starting from The Avon Resort at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains. The 50km route lets you embrace nature by completing two loops of the lake. For a seasoned cyclist, the 100km will provide more of a challenge with more undulations but still enjoying the stunning views and connecting with nature.Â
About The Cycle
This cycle is only 30kms south of Dublin but we understand the challenges of getting to us. If you have cycled for us in the last 2 years and are unable to join us in Wicklow, we are also offering a virtual registration. Cyclists can still participate with the same distance choice, but to be completed in a locality more convenient.
The event will take place from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on May 14th 2022. Registration will begin at 8 amÂ
Registration for the physical cycle is €50 and to take part in the virtual cycle the registration fee is €40
For either cycle option, we request you fundraise a minimum of €200
The registration fee includes a branded cycle jersey. Those who join the physical challenge will be treated to an after cycle BBQ as well as pit stop snacks and goodie bags. This is a wonderful way to connect with nature, enjoy some physical activity and fundraise for a worthy cause. We can’t forget the reason we are doing this, to provide a home from home for families who have a sick child requiring hospital treatment.

At The Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland, we have a small staff of only 14 people. With generous hearts and helping hands they keep the House running day in day out.
