Want to know more?
How much is the abseil?
€100 of your fundraising will cover the cost of your Abseil. Everything else goes directly to the Ronald McDonald House Ireland and our New House fund. What exactly will my fundraising go towards? We want to raise €60,000 from this Abseil day to pay for the elevators at the new Ronald McDonald House at the New Children’ s Hospital.
How do I raise the money needed?
Abseilers should set their fundraising goals high! €60,000 is a massive goal that everyone has to get behind. Your company, friends & family can sponsor you with a sponsor card or online through www.idonate.ie. You can hold events like bake sales, quizzes to help you reach your target.
How does it work?
Once you raise the amount required you will be allocated a time slot. You arrive at Generator Hostel, register and our volunteers will lead you up onto the top of the Smithfield Tower Chimney. A professional adventure agency will then attach you onto a secure harness and you will abseil 60meters down the iconic landmark. There will be photographers there to capture the day and you will receive a certificate.
