Our Relationship With McDonald's
RMHC Founding Mission Partner since 1974
McDonald’s support of RMHC Ireland takes many forms. A portion of the annual administration costs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland is graciously funded by McDonald’s and Owner/Operators of local McDonald’s restaurants. The remainder of our annual operating income comes from the generosity of individual and corporate donors.
Collectively McDonald’s use their restaurants to create customer awareness and support for the House. Staff and Owner/Operators participate on our Board and volunteer their time.
Donation boxes in the restaurant’s form the largest source of ongoing fundraising for the House. McDonald’s Customers generously donate via these Donation Boxes and help keep families close to the care and resources they need. Spare change from these donation boxes goes a long way to help families with sick children.
Change from one full donation box could give a family the comfort, support and resources they need, for one night, while their child is in hospital, at a Ronald McDonald House. A Ronald McDonald House is much more than just a place to sleep and eat.
In Ireland, all McDonald’s Stores sponsor the Santa Hat Campaign All proceeds from these promotions go directly to RMHC Ireland.
McDonald’s in Ireland is a continuous supporter of our fundraising events each year. Staff from many McDonald’s Restaurants support our CookingforFamilies Programme by cooking in the House regularly.
Many thanks, McDonald’s Ireland for supporting our mission every day and helping to keep families close.
